Q:How many types of window films are there?
There are two types of window films: reflective and absorptive types.
Ceramics, ATO, and infrared absorber are three effective ceramic thermal barrier of reflective window film in the market. Ceramics is the best one for high specific heat with 1300 Celsius degree calcinations. Excellent efficiency and durability for 10 years of heat insulation guaranteed and block 800-2500nm wavelength.
ATO uses for far infrared absorber with no blocking effect on high near infrared wavelength. It usually collocates with near infrared absorber.
Infrared absorber is the worst product comparing to ceramic and ATO due to the usage of organic synthesis. Decline stage of PLC will happen within one year and 95% blocking effect cuts down to 10% due to the exposure to sunlight. The cost decupled compares to ceramic system. The commercially available product with low price, but claims excellent efficiency is the above-mentioned type nowadays.
Absorptive type adopts different metal coating technology. NAN YA develops intermediate above coating technology for 30 years, and owns its product patent with high external reflection, low internal reflection, and non-oxidizing features.
Advanced coating technology adopts silver, gold, and other precious metal. The thermal barrier effect is far beyond ceramic one for its high price, ETC unaccusable, and difficulties in construction and drying process.
