南亚BOPP膜于 1979年兴建于嘉义，工厂位于嘉义县太保市南新里，地处嘉义县中心位置，临近国道一号嘉义交流道，距台铁嘉义站与高铁嘉义站均约10~15分钟车程，交通便利。于1986年扩建二厂增设双轴延伸薄膜设备，其产品主要供一般胶带、成衣袋、超透明胶带、上光膜、雾面膜、电子基板离型膜、无声胶带、隐型书写胶带、纺织品包装膜、文具包装膜、积层印刷贴合膜、电镀膜、透明标签膜等用途使用。
　　年产能21,600吨，销售台湾本岛与外销日本、东南亚等地。嘉义BOPP膜工厂成立至今，一直秉持着台塑企业「追根究柢、止于至善」之企业信念，并严格要求质量管理，1993年通过ISO 9002认证 (2002年改版通过ISO 9001质量认证)， 2019年又更上层楼，通过ISO/IEC 17025 TAF实验室认证，产品质量深获业界肯定。并持续秉持「突破、创新、彻底、圆满」之经营理念，缔造产品的永续经营与发展。
