南亚塑料公司于1958年创立，同年于高雄市仁武区兴建完成南亚第一座工厂。树林一厂于1975年兴建完成，初期仅生产少量起毛布、不织布及湿式PU皮。1982年时为建立完整PU系列产品之生产体系以服务顾客，增加了干式PU皮之制造。后续又因应鞋用品牌制品禁用PVC之要求，于2002年增加TPU胶粒之制造、2005年开始增加TPU胶皮之生产线，因应TPU胶布产品发展，2015年再新增TPU胶布新产线。
　　树林厂员工约100人，所生产之南亚TPU胶皮布质量优良，大量用于医疗及户外用品，从原料开始一条龙生产，依客户需求客制化硬度、厚度等相关规格，产品通过生物兼容性、细胞毒性等测试，并通过ISO 9001、ISO 14001、OHSAS 18001等厂房认证、TAF实验室认证。
